Expunging Criminal Records

It was mentioned in the previous post that criminal records could be expunged, or erased and for many this can be a confusing scenario. Many believe that once someone has a criminal record they are stuck with it for life. Most of the time this is the case, but each and every state has there own laws regarding the expunging of criminal records. More often that not expunging records will occur in the case of juvenile offenders who have since the incident kept themselves out of trouble. Many individuals have gotten into some mischief when a teen and they are not bad people, so this will allow them to have clean records during a criminal background check. For adults the process can still be done, but there are several factors involved and each state is different on what they will allow.
