Verifying Criminal Records Check Results

It has been said before and should be said again that just conducting criminal background checks is not enough, as an employer you must ensure that you are getting an accurate check on those records. There are many private databases out there, which are not always accurate, and this can wrongly affect whom you hire for a available position. There are times a record check will reveal a criminal record which actually does not exist do to the record being expunged or flat out mistaken identity. It is also possible for someone with a record to not show up giving a false sense that this person is perfect for the job. Either way your results from a criminal records check should be verified before you make your judgment regarding the employment of the individual.
