Criminal Background Checks At Day Cares

Surprisingly not all states require day care facilities to conduct criminal background checks on all employees and applicants. With the safety of so many small children at stake it is amazing to me that there is not a law in every single state that all applicants at a day care should go through a pre-employment screening which requires a look into their criminal backgrounds. Luckily many day care facilities still conduct these checks on their own on new hires but this means that each parent should do their homework and ensure that the day care they use places their employees through background checks during the hiring process.
