Despite the affordability of pre-employment screenings that include criminal background checks there are many businesses, which work with children who skip this step and place our children in danger all the time from not only criminals but also those who are sexual offenders. Carnivals, day cares, and more most often in rural areas are more likely to skip this step making it easy for those who should not be near our children to have close contact with them. As parents we need to be vigilante and make sure we keep an eye on those who are near our children, and try to only do business with those who do conduct criminal background checks on their employees.
