Many employers realize the benefit of conducting pre-employment screenings, which include criminal background checks on their applicants. Yet they do not realize the impact it has on the community as a whole. As more employers are conducting these checks it is making it harder for those who are less desirable to find employment in the area in which they all live. Since employment is not available for those with questionable criminal backgrounds they will often pack up and move on. This makes a community as a whole saver for not only the businesses but the families, which live in the area as well.
