A call center can have hundreds of call in a day and many times these departments will have a heavy turnover rate within a company. Many employers do not consider conducting background checks on these positions since they are usually considered to be lower skilled occupations and thus not worth the time. This is not a good approach to these jobs though. Employers can cut-down on turnover in this department by ensuring they are hiring quality employees for these positions. In the long run running these pre-employment screenings will safe the company lots of money in time and effort wasted on the turnover of call center employees.
