Conducting More Thorough Criminal Background Checks

Recently a case brought up in the news brought to light that some states do very minimal criminal background checks on those who have access to our children in the local school systems. In this case it was Oregon and the background check required was a simple, cheap $5 statewide check only. Of course the major problem with this is any criminal records in other states will not be uncovered allowing those who may have harmed others in the past too close to our children. Any criminal background check should be at the minimum of all fifty states, and in some businesses international searches should be considered as well.
