The mortgage crisis in the United States is something that is on everyone’s mind. Many states do not do criminal background checks on mortgage brokers and they are expected to honestly turn in their own convictions to the state mortgage license board. Many brokers who have committed fraud have not turned this information in and have retained their license. If you are seriously considering buying a home make sure for yourself that your mortgage broker can be trusted with a criminal background check.
