Credit History on Pre-Employment Screenings

Many potential employees know that their credit report can hurt their chances of a home loan or car loan if there are negative items in it. But many do not realize it also plays a role in how employable some companies may find them to be. More businesses are using pre-employment screenings to evaluate applicants and negative credit history can be an indicator of poor judgment and character. Of course this may not be a deal breaker if the applicant is very strong in their field, but it can be a deciding factor when two applicants are being compared together to see which one will be hired.
