Errors in Background Checks

It is important as an employer to ensure the information on potential applicants is relayed exactly to the company providing you with pre-employment screenings. Typos can result in false positives and potentially prevent you from finding negative information on a potential employee. Something as small as a wrong number in the applicant’s birthday can report back with no records found on a criminal background check when in actuality they may have records on file. Your background checks company should also do some extra steps to ensure these errors do not get through just in case the applicant entered something wrong in the first place.
