Drug Testing Employees & Applicants

Some employers do not concern themselves with the recreational drug use of their employees and applicants. They dismiss the issue with the idea that what an employee does on their own time is not their concern. This could not be further than the truth though! Just because employees partake in the free time it does affect not only their performance but also their attendance at the workplace. Employers should run thorough background checks on all employees as they get promotions as well as on all new applicants to the company. A employment drug test screening should also be ran to ensure that the person does not use recreational drugs which could affect the performance they give the company.
