Background Checks for Hotel Employees
One industry, which is many times overlooked as being especially needy of running pre-employment screenings on all hired employees, is the hotel industry. With so many service personnel who will have contact with the guests staying at the establishment there are plenty of cracks for potential “bad seeds” to fall through and be allowed access to the guests. From the person at the front desk who will handle credit card information to the cleaning crew, which can access a room at any given time the potential for theft of unsuspecting guests, can be extremely high if you do not know your employees well. All hotel managers should run thorough background checks on everyone who accesses the guests and the rooms to ensure those staying in the hotel as just as safe as if they were in their own home.
