Parts of a Pre-Employment Screening - SSN Verification

With the subject of illegal immigrants becoming more and more of an issue it is now imperative that employers verify the social security number of all applicants that they plan on hiring. Just because an applicant has a social security card this does not mean it is actually their card or that it is actually a real card issued by the United States government. A social security number verification will let you know that the applicant is actually a US citizen and can even help verify other information that the applicant supplies on their resume. Not all pre-employment screenings include this extra bit of information, so if it is important to you make sure that you will be receiving this information.
