If your company utilizes company vehicles, which employees drive, then you may also need to look into an applicants driving record before you hire them. A driving record check can be included in a thorough background check of all applicants that apply at your company. This feature will allow you to see moving violations, DUIs, and suspended licenses all of which will affect your insurability for your company vehicles. Many insurance companies will not cover your employees who are high-risk drivers, or will charge you more to cover them. If your company is a highly mobile fleet based business this is an expense you cannot afford to have.
